The pause (sadly) continues...

So even though I had planned on buying those parts for the Miata and installing them, that is on hold. And I was even thinking of changing the rims of the car when it was time to change the tires, but that is also on hold... and that's because money is hard to come by. I am going to try to focus on some cost-cutting in the upcoming months, and that means removing superfluous expenses, such as non-maintenance on the car >< Which is a bit sad, but not horrible, as I realized in my research that the stock rims on the miata are only 12.7 lbs each, which is pretty light as rims go. Part of that is due to the fact that they're only 14's, but thats alright. I don't drive the car at the limit very often so I'll just be wary of my traction limits and hold off for a bit. Once I sell the Acura things should be better, as I can stop paying insurance on it. I just checked and I save $44/month by removing the Acura. That makes my insurance $550/6 months for full coverage on the Miata... not terrible.

I'm hoping I can take care of this loan quickly... though even if I throw all my savings at it, it will still take almost 2 years at my current income. Oh well, that's the cost of an education I suppose. I'll just do what I can and make the best of my situation. But for the forseeable future, it looks like work on my miata is going to be limited to tiny upgrades and mostly just upkeep.
